Steven Murphy
Regional Director, North Asia

Steven Murphy has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resource and Operations Management industries. He has worked in various companies across emerging marketing including Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia. He has developed extensive experience in emerging markets and in the area of cross cultural talent management and development.

Steven is currently working with global public relations agency, Text 100, where he is responsible for over 215 employees across 13 countries in Asia. As Regional Operations Director, Steven is jointly responsible for the commercial success of the Asia Pacific business.

Specific responsibilities focus on establishing new offices, developing and implementing best operational practice and acquiring and developing top talent for Text 100's regional offices. Steven has particular focus on the China, India, Japan and Hong Kong markets.

Steven has previously held senior management roles in Africa, Hong Kong and Australia within a diverse portfolio of companies such as Rand Mines, Anglo American, South African Breweries and chinadotcom.

Steven holds a BA in psychology - Uni of Natal, South Africa, and Post graduate diploma in Management from Witwatersrand Business School, SA.
